Edward’s story about the apple tree and a sense of belonging

“For me, this picture of the apple tree at UCLL’s campus talks about the ease of planting and how a sense of belonging arises from the environment one finds him or herself.

This picture shows that this tree had the potential to grow and flourish, compared to other places where it would find it difficult to cope, given that it had

1. Good soil to aid its growth;
2. Good climate conditions;
3. People around it who in one way or another cared for it.
