It also provides practical tools, guidance, and training for professionals to safely implement sport-based recovery activities.

Who is it for?

🏋️‍♂️ Sports trainers and coaches – to design safe and inclusive activities
👩‍🏫 Professionals and practitioners in the field of trafficking – to apply trauma-informed methods

🧠 Supporting Those Who Support Others Through the 🧠 Supporting Those Who Support Others

Through the RECOVER Project, we don’t just focus on victims of trafficking — we also support the professionals working with them.

Working with VoTs can be emotionally demanding.
Coaches, trainers, and practitioners often face:
⚠️ Emotional stress
⚠️ Fear of causing harm
⚠️ Uncertainty in managing trauma-related responses

👉 That’s why RECOVER provides dedicated training modules to help professionals:
✔️ Manage stress and emotional pressure
✔️ Build confidence in trauma-informed practices
✔️ Create safe and respectful interactions
✔️ Maintain clear boundaries and well-being

Because supporting recovery also means supporting those on the front line. 💙

👉 Strong professionals create safer environments for everyone.

Sport is more than just physical activity - it’s a Sport is more than just physical activity - it’s a powerful tool for healing, connection, and inclusion 💙

At Incoma Group, we are proud to be part of the RECOVER Project, an initiative that uses sport to support survivors of human trafficking in their recovery and reintegration journey.

Through safe, structured, and inclusive activities, sport becomes a pathway to rebuild lives 🌱

✨ Why sport matters in recovery:
✔️ Sport as a tool
Supports psychosocial recovery through structure, emotional regulation, and social integration
✔️ The body speaks
Activities like yoga and dance help release trauma and regain bodily autonomy
✔️ Community matters
A sense of belonging and teamwork is more important than the specific sport
✔️ Routine brings safety
Consistent schedules and clear rules create stability and security
✔️ Do no harm
Programs must be led by trained professionals using trauma-informed approaches
✔️ Universal language
Sport connects people across cultures and languages

By combining movement, support, and community, the RECOVER Project shows how recovery can become empowerment.
