Action: Forward Looking Projects
DIG-FRAME is an initiative designed to strengthen digital competence assessment in lower secondary education across Europe, responding to persistent gaps in digital literacy, teacher capacity, and evaluation practices. Aligned with European digital education priorities, the project promotes a systemic approach to embedding digital skills across curricula, teaching, and assessment. Central to the project is the development of an ethical, AI-driven Digital Skills Assessment Framework and Platform, co-created with teachers and students and grounded in existing good practices and policy frameworks. Through piloting, validation, and scaling-up actions, DIGI-FRAME supports innovative, reliable, and inclusive assessment of digital competences, while strengthening teachers’ pedagogical use of digital tools. By equipping schools with robust assessment methodologies and future-oriented digital skills pathways, the project prepares students for real-life challenges and the jobs of the future, establishing a replicable model for wider adoption across education systems.
